Bill posted this on the dakota site as well but for the guys who don't check out the dakota site thought I would copy and paste it here.

From Bill:

Just thought I would give our consumers an update on what Dakota has in the works for 2010! We are working very hard this off season, and continue to offer hunters a wider selection of products, at the quality you expect and deserve!

1. LESSERS... not a maybe anymore! We are molding these as I type! These are an awesome looking decoy. Here are the details;

a. Size. These are just slightly larger than our snow goose, not much.

b. One piece design. There are 4 different body styles, 2 feeders, active and a sentry. These will be virtually indestructible!

c. We will offer these in a fully flocked version and also a painted version. The painted version will have a flocked head and also flocked tails!

d. Same motion design. However, we are also enhancing our motion system! Not just on the lesser, but all other decoys as well! We have a new design in holding the PVC tube in place, both internally and at the bottom of decoy. These new improvements should eliminate any troubles with the the tube loosening. We also adjusted the motion restricter to allow the decoy to spin a bit further each direction in the wind, this will allow the bungee to spring the decoy back. Some of you mentioned this in the staff reviews... thank you! We listen! Also enhanced is the internal screw. We custom ordered a new screw. The new screw is case hardened. This will keep the point of the screw sharper, which will allow the decoy to move better!

e. Packaging... We will package these in a 6 pack box. They will come standard with 3 feeders, 2 actives and 1 sentry. Same great quality!!

2. Mallards.. The mallards paint will be much improved. The new hens look incredible. Even though the drakes were very good... we are enhancing! Better head colors, as well as a slight body color change. The flocking will be incredibly tough, with new improved colors... AWESOME!!!

3. Bags. We will offer 3 new bags. The current bag will be much improved with many new features. The quality will be much improved... very tough, with an all new cover system...best on the market! We will also have a 12 slot mallard bag. Very nice! The newest bag will be a new 6 slot bag that will be a triple purpose bag for the new lesser and whitefront, and will also be sized for the floating canadas. Again, AWESOME!!

4. Snows... We will be adding a new snow (and blue) body. The new body is more of a relaxed goose, active body. It looks incredible! We will package the snows and blues with 3 feeders, 2 of the new active body and 1 sentry. We will also paint 2 of each 6 pack as juvies! Good stuff!

5. Sleeper Shell... Also being molded as I type is our new sleeper shell! This is a one piece decoy that we have been working on for quite awhile! We will flock the heads and the butts! This decoy will sit flat on the ground, with no area for wind to get under and blow around! Look out late season honkers! Again... you asked and we deliver!!

6. Whitefronts... We will also be adding specs to the arsenal! Again, a one piece decoy with all the features of our large goose! They look incredible!

We will also be adding a bit more low density polyethylene to all the decoys. This will make the decoys a bit more forgiving. This is a very fine line to get the mix correct. Too much low density and you begin to lose paint retention. High density poly has the best overall paint retention, so we will continue to look for the best mix of high/low to allow for ultimate durability and paint retention.

At Dakota we never stop improving. We always do our best to give the hunters what they need, and will continue to do so for years to come. Have a great day and enjoy your off season!

Bill

We will see what the pricing is like, I might be interested in the lessers if the price is right. Can't beat 155 for ffd's with a bag, if its comparable there is a good chance I might buy some.

I like their stuff...although I dont own any I have hunted over them and read tons of good reviews about their paint holding up very well...the only beef Ive ever heard is the color of the hens and it sounds like they resolved that issue...but man 450+ a dozen for Goose FB is hard to swallow...especially when you get BigFoots so much cheaper and know they will last...Dakota really does make some good lookin decoys though..
